How to Commit to You, Your Life and Results
This begins in the mind, albeit unknowingly. Many people don’t realise that their commitment is to chaos in the mind.
They’re committed to doubts, negative thoughts, and harsh self-criticism, so the first thing is to recognise that control is needed.
The way to control it is to coach yourself.
Learning to manage your mind so that you can manage your life, your heart, your emotions, and the way you show up in life.
That’s what you need to commit to.
Instead of watching other people live their lives through movies, we have to commit to our lives and watch our lives go from dreams to reality.
One way we do this is through Tarbiyah. All you need is to become committed to managing and coaching your mind.
Tarbiyah is the process of nurturing yourself, your mind, and your heart.
Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran, ‘You’re the best of the people.’
How do we become the best?
By committing to investing in ourselves, our lives, and our relationships.
Most of us are committed to our hobbies, entertainment, distractions, and all of the things that keep us preoccupied and zap our time.
We’re willing to commit our money, health, resources, and families to the world, but we hesitate to commit the same in our own lives and time.
You have to commit and invest your time and energy into yourself.
That’s what I do. I invest my time and energy into coaching myself, coaching my mind, and getting myself into the most optimum state.
If you commit to your life, then you will bring out your potential. The way to do it is through Tarbiyah and Tazkiyah of your mind and emotions.
Again, it’s about managing the mind, heart, and your emotions.
Commitment isn’t just about discipline. It’s about continuous self-improvement and investment in yourself so that you get to live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
Whether it’s preparing for Ramadan or navigating daily life, committing to you and your personal growth is constant.
It doesn’t have to be difficult. Committing to yourself can be a chilled-out process.
That’s why I continue to develop myself and grow. And I’m not in a race with anyone.
I’m in a race with myself to actualise my potential. I’m patient but I’m investing in myself.
If you want results, you have to do this.
Your external results in life are a direct correlation to what’s going on inside. A positive internal state leads to positive external results.
Commitment and actively managing your mind and emotions is the key to total life transformation.
