How Do We Cultivate Reliance on Allah?
The struggle of reliance usually comes from internal conflicts and thoughts of how life should be compared to what it is.
As a result, we end up looking at others thinking that they have it all and we are left with the challenges. We start comparing and that comparison trap is how we miss the solution.
Reliance on Allah is about understanding that true okayness comes from a connection to Allah.
It’s not about others and what they have and what we don’t have.
It’s all about what’s truly going on inside of you. People can’t make you feel better.
You have to choose to feel better and the quickest way to do it is through connecting to Allah.
Connecting to The Almighty, the All-Merciful, the Provider, the Sustainer. The One that gives you everything, all the time.
Many of us have this internal battle where we judge ourselves and our lives. We even judge or blame others.
Feeling disconnected, unhappy, or unsupported comes from toxic thoughts we have about ourselves and our lives.
But when we view our lives without judgement we will see that it’s pretty good and liveable.
Everyone has challenges. The important thing is how we perceive those challenges and respond to them.
True peace and contentment can only come from Allah.
That connection you seek can only come from trusting Allah and recognising that He is always supporting us. Every breath, every heartbeat, every day.
When we recognise this, then even when we have challenges, we will see our blessings. It’s up to us.
We have to stop the cycle of judgement and blame and negative thinking. Instead, we should look at our lives with compassion and mercy.
Reliance and trust are the fruits of our connection to Allah.
Allah tells us in the Quran that He does not burden us beyond our capacity. He has given us everything we need.
Yes, life will be challenging at times for all of us, but Allah will continue to bless us.
By connecting to Allah and trusting and relying on him, we can experience that sense of being alright, of handling life in the best way.
Letting go of negative thoughts and seeing the constant blessings is key to living a good life and thriving.
If you do it, you will feel the connection that’s been sustaining you all along.
