What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is someone who helps people to create their dream life.

The concept of coaching isn’t new, it originally emerged in sports but in essence, coaching is more of a mentoring relationship that people have.

Traditionally, people who get coaching are top performers, sports people, politicians, or people in leadership.

However, coaching is done in different areas, from business and personal to transformational and therapeutic coaching, like Quranic intervention therapy based on the Science of the Nafs.

This is all about clearing away trauma, mental, and psychological challenges that we’re facing because of something we’ve experienced along the way.

This is not traditional psychology that fits into an Islamic framework, but rather, the psychology as described by Allah in the Quran and the Sunnah.

This is a science of the religion.

In recent times, it’s taken a bit of a backseat, but it’s always been there. It’s a combination of spirituality, a combination of your psychology, and your physiology.

It combines all three, hence it’s called the Science of the Nafs because it combines everything to do with the person and their well-being.

Many of us struggle through life with the different things that happen to us and the circumstances in our lives. These things often knock us.

I’ve been around for a little while, and for the past 25 years, starting in the corporate world, working in it for many years, in a business development background, business consultancy, building sales and marketing, working in technology, working in different industries.

There came a point where I wanted to live a more purposeful life.

That took me on a spiritual journey of seeking knowledge and understanding.

My journey with the Quran and the Islamic sciences started back then and I’ve been on the journey for a long time.

This psychology drive has been with me from a very young age and all my research and studies on this journey led me to set up an academy in the UK.

I train coaches and within that, there’s the Quranic intervention, which is a therapy.

We work with people and their needs, whether it’s a spiritual need, psychological, or something in the material world.

In terms of money and business, client acquisition, and all sorts.

A life coach helps individuals overcome challenges and become the best versions of themselves.

You get different types of coaches, covering many areas of life. But what’s important is the powerful results that they can bring into your life.

Coaching helps people overcome fear, anxiety, procrastination, and self-doubt. It empowers high performers to break through glass ceilings and discover their true potential.

Coaching helps you to become the highest performer that you can be. You already have that potential so coaching is about polishing that and bringing out the shine.

People get into coaching for different reasons but coaching allows you to align with your purpose and gives you all sorts of freedom you wouldn’t otherwise have.

The bottom line is we want to do meaningful, purpose-driven work and you want to live in alignment with your purpose in life.

Some of the freedoms that coaching gives you are time freedom, location freedom, and financial freedom.

People love this about coaching because it gives you autonomy.

It gives you freedom and the abundance that you’re looking for.

All of humanity loves the Dunya and we’ve been created with this natural disposition of having the desire for the Dunya.

We all want to give our families the best of the Dunya and the Akhirah. So we strive to do that. That’s something many careers may not give you.

That’s the reason coaching is a great career. If you want to have an impact on the world and your own life, you can.

When I’m training my Coaches, we’re very focused on a holistic way forward. That includes setting yourself up and it includes the money mindset.

You’ll set yourself up and it will give you clarity in your life.

That’s achieved through your connection to Allah (swt) and this is all a journey with the Quran and the Sunnah and it’s the most beautiful journey Ahamdulillah.

It doesn’t matter where you are, or how you feel, you can create far beyond what you think is possible.

Whether you’re already a coach, considering coaching, or simply seeking personal growth, this episode will enlighten you on the transformative power of coaching grounded in the Science of the Nafs.
