Ramadan Where You’re Connected & Peaceful

Ramadan isn’t about being perfect. It’s a training programme to actualise your potential in a light and steady way.

The method I use is what we’ve been taught in the Quran and Sunnah.

Recharging regularly. You can’t recharge once a week, a month, or once a year.

Most of us see and use Ramadan as that point of recharge but our “spiritual batteries” need recharging all the time so that they can last all year.

Think back to how many years you may have recharged in Ramadan, expecting that charge to last all year because it was so powerful but then finding that it didn’t last.

It doesn’t last because life has many diversions. We have work, spouses, kids, inlaws, our friends, and the community.

So how do we do it?

Firstly, we have to follow the natural path.

Connecting to Allah (swt) in various ways where you feel that ease and comfort. Becoming engrossed in the Quran and Salah and Dua.

Praying, reflecting, and nurturing our hearts to become those people who have Taqwa.

The people of Taqwa whom Allah says this month was prescribed for.

The key is to set up a sustainable routine and to keep the load of things to do light and easy. Not overwhelming yourself with so much that you need the following 11 months to recover.

To get that connection, you set up a system for yourself and do it for the 30 days of Ramadan, then you do it for the 30 days of Shawaal, and then you just continue.

Before you know it, this is who you’ve become and by the next Ramadan, this is just who you are. This is just what you do.

When training my coaches or students, I take them through a personal transformation of their lives. I help them to actualise their life and their dreams.

I coach them through the Science of the Nafs which is based upon the Quran and Sunnah principles.

When you use these principles, it boosts your life. It gives you a continuous recharge rather than one powerful dose that wears off.

A common mistake that many people make is racing through it all. Racing through life. Being busy with everything.

We do it with our lives and we do it with our connection to Allah.

But our connection to Allah is the greatest connection we have.

It gives us the okayness we need to get through anything in life.

Allah (swt) created us to be the best. There’s nothing that should hold you back, especially not the dodgy, negative thoughts we sometimes have.
