Stopping Negative Thoughts in Their Track
For example, when trying to deal with the relationship challenges you’ve got. Maybe it’s mediation, maybe talking to family and friends.
But sometimes our relationships are fine. And the problem is how we feel every single day.
Some of us wake up with an overwhelming urge to remain in bed. It’s almost like a discomfort within our skin.
Many of us get stuck. At times things are great and at times things are not.
The weight of stress we carry disrupts our lives and often leads to anxiety, fear, or a sense of unease.
This experience ends up impacting our relationships. Even if the relationships are good, the people around us are impacted by our way of living and our way of thinking.
The way we show up in our lives determines how our relationships turn out.
Sometimes, we oscillate between feeling this emotional turmoil and getting out of it. And because it’s been a cycle for some time, we normalise it.
We become accustomed to the emotional rollercoaster as if it’s normal and the way life’s meant to be.
Even those who have studied theology or psychology may find themselves overwhelmed after years of study and practice, feeling as if nothing truly works.
The problem is it impacts you in the long term. The human body, mind, and soul have not been designed to be under a chronic state of stress, anxiety, fear, anger, or sadness.
Negative thinking is at the core of many of our struggles and as a result of it, we’re fearful, anxious, and overwhelmed.
This is why the Science of the Nafs is different from everything else.
The Science of the Nafs is a psychology model based on the Quran and Sunnah.
When you understand yourself through Revelation, the Quran, and Sunnah, it’s a completely different understanding.
It’s understanding of the mind and feelings and our behaviour.
If you can understand that, by understanding how Allah (swt) designed us, then you have a far greater opportunity of success in making those changes happen.
The Quran and Sunnah provide the blueprint for understanding the human mind, the “why” behind our emotions, behaviours, and our struggles to change.
So the best way to understand yourself is always going to be through Divine Revelation.
Because Allah is the One that created us. So He knows how He created us.
My whole journey was an intense journey of searching. I spent my life trying to understand the human mind, the human being, what we feel, why we feel it, and many turbulent times.
I struggled with many things throughout my journey. So I understand it.
It’s what led me to set up the Muslim Life Coach Institute, teaching this science.
